Hi there! I’m Amy.
I’m an actively licensed & board certified pediatrician, a mom, and a firm believer in making modern parenthood a bit easier and more connected. I want to empower you with good information, community, and a few good laughs.
Dr. Amy’s Story
Back in residency training to become a pediatrician, I realized the mainstream healthcare system was failing today’s families: the one-size-fits-all approach, the lack of good information and tools, no time to connect and talk. Really talk.
It all started with a desire to have conversations with parents that I didn’t have time for in busy clinics with 15 minute slots. “Ask Doctor Amy” was born on Youtube, and now continues as the podcast, where I try to bring the real talk.
I believe evidence-based science needs to be combined with the right attention to nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle to create a healthy and healthy childhood. And that’s exactly what I want to empower parents to create for their unique family.
In 2020, I created the first digital pediatric care platform, Kinder Clinic, to connect pediatricians directly to families. It was an honor to serve families all around the country, and I learned valuable lessons about what I want to build with technology: made-for-parents tools that are effective, easy, and solve real day-to-day problems.
With this new conviction, I launched my first app, KidDose, in 2023 and plan to continue making resources that actually make parenthood easier.
Now that I am a mama myself, I feel the importance of community more than ever. Going back to my roots as a storyteller, healer, and child of an immigrant family, I am here to re-construct the village it takes to raise healthy kids.
